ÁùºÏͼ¿â to host Spring Dance Fusion Friday

The University of Louisiana at Monroe’s School of Visual and Performing Arts presents its popular Spring Dance Fusion concert, at 7:30 p.m., Friday, May 1, in ÁùºÏͼ¿â’s Brown Auditorium.

ÁùºÏͼ¿â student, faculty, and staff admission is free with a current ÁùºÏͼ¿â ID. General admission is $5, and children under 12 get in free.

The event blends dance, music, and performance art in one concert for the entire community.

The concert features the ÁùºÏͼ¿â Dance Repertory Ensemble performing original works. The ensemble performs different styles of dance including ballet, tap, jazz, and hip-hop, with student choreography being featured.

Director of the Dance Department, Associate Professor Robin Stephens, and Associate Professor of Dance, Tina Malone have worked with the Repertory Dance Ensemble through the spring semester to prepare for the concert.

Original choreography from Mullone and Stephens will also be featured.
