Fall 2003 Convocation at ÁùºÏͼ¿â

The University of Louisiana at Monroe will hold the Fall 2003 Convocation, a celebration of the opening of the academic year, this coming Monday Aug. 25. The event is scheduled to begin 5 p.m. in Fant-Ewing Coliseum. At 4:15 p.m., all ÁùºÏͼ¿â students, faculty and staff are invited to gather near the ÁùºÏͼ¿â Library to join the ÁùºÏͼ¿â Sound of Today (SOT) Marching Band. At 4:30, the traditional march to Fant-Ewing Coliseum will begin. Once in the Coliseum, the SOT will play more music and remarks will be made by ÁùºÏͼ¿â President James Cofer, Head Football Coach Charlie Weatherbie,and others. The crowd will be asked to sing the ÁùºÏͼ¿â Fight Song and Alma Mater. After the Convocation, the SOT will lead a march to "The Grove" for GroveStock, a celebration of food, music, and fun.
