Warhawks Soar Ahead in Online Mascot Poll

Warhawks garnered the most votes in an online poll conducted by the ÁùºÏͼ¿â Mascot Committee. With 21.7 percent of the votes, Warhawks lead Bayou Gators (14.9 percent) and Bayou Hawks (10.4 percent).

On April 5 at 3:30 p.m. in the ÁùºÏͼ¿â Library, the ÁùºÏͼ¿â Mascot Committee will meet with ÁùºÏͼ¿â President James E. Cofer, Sr. and Rickabaugh Graphics representative Eric Rickabaugh to discuss the online poll results and the marketability options of the various mascot suggestions.

Following the meeting, Rickabaugh will tour the ÁùºÏͼ¿â campus and northeast Louisiana to gain a feel for local flavor and will then incorporate that into prospective mascot designs. ÁùºÏͼ¿â staff is busy planning an unveiling of the mascot designs, with a goal of June 1.
