ÁùºÏͼ¿â Pikes excel at educational leadership conference

A delegation from ÁùºÏͼ¿â’s Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity participated in Pike University, the international fraternity’s educational leadership conference, in Dallas, Texas Feb. 2 – 4.

Twelve members of the ÁùºÏͼ¿â chapter, along with their advisor Tom Walpole, attended educational sessions on financial management, risk management, recruitment, interviewing skills, and other personal and fraternity related sessions.

Walpole, also ÁùºÏͼ¿â’s associate director of Alumni Relations, was a faculty guest this year and presented a session on public relations.

Three of the ÁùºÏͼ¿â Pikes, Micah Pulliam, Matt Rogers, and Josh Carroll, earned Garnet status for attending their third fraternity educational conference. Jimmy Grigus, president, earned Gold status for attending his fifth.

Pi Kappa Alpha has chapters on over 210 campuses in North America, and the ÁùºÏͼ¿â chapter is considered in the top one percent. Over 200 undergraduates attended the Dallas conference from five states.
