“Forever Plaid presents Plaid Tidings” at Strauss Theatre Center in Dec.

The Strauss Theatre Center will present “Forever Plaid presents Plaid Tidings” Dec. 6 - 9, and 13 - 14 at 7:30 p.m., and Dec. 9, 16 at 3 p.m.

The show is directed by Strauss Artistic Director Dennis Gleason, an adjunct ͼ drama instructor. The choreographer is ͼ Director of Dance Robin Stephens, and the musical director is ͼ graduate student Julian Jones. The cast features three ͼ students: Adavion Wayne, Johnny Nichols and Tony Stewart, with Chase Landon filling out the foursome.

The show features 60 classics like “Fever,” “ Hey There,” and “Ssh Boom,” along with holiday favorites, “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” “Let It Snow,” “The Christmas Song,” and more, including a hilarious spoof of the “Ed Sullivan Show.”

Keith White, director of the School of Visual and Performing Arts, praised the team effort. “This show is a perfect example of a local arts organization and ͼ collaborating together to make a special production. “

All tickets are $15 and may be purchased by calling the box office at (318) 323-6681 Monday – Friday from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Patrons may also obtain tickets at the box office by one hour prior to showtime. The Strauss Theatre Center is located at 1300 Lamy Lane.
