ͼ librarian featured in “Mississippi Libraries”

Interlibrary Loan Librarian Melinda F. Matthews at the University of Louisiana at Monroe recently reviewed “Strawberry Plains Audubon Center: Four Centuries of a Mississippi Landscape" by Hubert H. McAlexander.

The book review is published in vol. 73 no. 2 of the "Mississippi Libraries" Summer 2009 edition.

Matthews also served as secretary of the Louisiana Library Association, taking minutes for the LLA Executive Board meetings, which meets five times a fiscal year.

Matthews earned her master's degree in Library and Information Science from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge in May 1990. She earned a bachelor's degree in English in December 1988 from McNeese State University in Lake Charles.

She has worked at the ͼ Library since July 1990, where she started as Humanities Reference Librarian. She became Interlibrary Loan/Reference Librarian in January 1992.
